Riverland Falls To NJCAA D2 Williston State

Riverland Community College dropped a 19–2 decision to Williston State College as the Tetons used multiple big innings to pull away early.

Riverland struck first with two runs in the opening inning, taking an early 2–1 lead. However, Williston State responded with a seven-run second inning and added four more runs in the third to take control of the game. The Tetons later put the game out of reach with a seven-run fifth inning.

The Blue Devils recorded six hits in the contest. Raul Martinez led the way with a 2-for-2 performance, including a double and a run scored, while Ethan Mott also added two hits. Austin Swenson contributed a double and an RBI, and Jonathan Mora drove in a run on a sacrifice fly.

On the mound, Ben Zahm took the loss, working 1.2 innings. Riverland utilized multiple pitchers in the game, but Williston State capitalized throughout, finishing with 16 hits and 19 runs.
