Riverland Explodes For 25 Runs In Win Over Minnesota West

Riverland Community College delivered an offensive outburst on the road, defeating Minnesota West Community & Technical College 25–0 in five innings.

The Blue Devils set the tone early, scoring five runs in the opening inning before erupting for nine runs in the third and adding nine more in the fifth to put the game out of reach.

Riverland totaled 20 hits in the contest, with production coming from throughout the lineup. Christiaan Koehler led the way with three hits and five RBI, while Ethan Mott drove in four runs. Peyton Ransom added four hits, including a double and triple, and finished with three RBI.

Carson Gehrke, Jonathan Mora, and Roland Figueroa each recorded three hits, with Mora driving in three runs and Figueroa scoring four times. In total, nine different players recorded hits for the Blue Devils.

On the mound, Riley Jax was dominant, tossing a complete-game shutout in the five-inning contest. He allowed just three hits while striking out five to earn the win.

Riverland's pitching and defense combined to hold Minnesota West scoreless, while taking advantage of opportunities offensively to produce one of the team's most complete performances of the season.
