Riverland Soccer Defeats Anoka-Ramsey In MCAC Action

The Riverland Blue Devils men's soccer team opened up conference play on Wednesday night with a home win against Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Two second-half goals from midfielder Alex Ulrich (Owatonna, MN) and another strong night in the net from goalkeeper Camden Williams (Rochester, MN) helped key Riverland to victory.

"It's always good to start the conference season with a win," said Blue Devils head coach Frank Spaeth. "And to get it against a very good opponent in Anoka-Ramsey was a bonus."

Strong performances from the back line, as well as forward Kalab Tadesse (Austin, MN), were other keys to the team's success.

The Blue Devils are in action next on Sunday afternoon, when they travel to Duluth to take on conference foe Lake Superior College.

Riverland Community College is a member of the Minnesota State system and an equal opportunity employer/educator.
