Riverland Men’s Soccer Falls to Iowa Central in Road Opener

FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Riverland Community College men's soccer team opened its 2025 campaign on the road Thursday evening, falling 6-0 to nationally regarded Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge.

The Tritons struck twice late in the first half, with a goal in 35th minute & again in the 41st to build a 2-0 halftime advantage. Iowa Central added four more goals in the second half, including a penalty kick conversion in the 52nd minute. 

Riverland was outshot 30-6 overall and 19-3 in shots on goal but showed bright moments in possession.

With the result, Riverland begins the season 0-1, while Iowa Central improves to 1-0.
