Riverland men's soccer earned a dramatic 3–2 victory over Viterbo JV, capped by a last-second goal from Nitor Egbarin (Lagos, Nigeria) in the 90th minute.
The Blue Devils jumped on the board early when Josh Jones (Wirral, England) buried a shot just two minutes into the match, assisted by Egbarin. Viterbo answered back with two late first-half goals, including one just before halftime, to take a 2–1 lead into the break.
Riverland regrouped in the second half. In the 58th minute, Nelson Powell (Frankston, Australia) onverted off a feed from Flynn Perry (Farnham, England) to tie the game at 2–2. Despite playing a man down after a 76th-minute red card, the Blue Devils battled through, and Egbarin delivered the game-winner in stoppage time, assisted by Powell.
Riverland outshot Viterbo 18–14, with nine shots on goal to the visitors' six. Ethan Brown (Ramsey, England) made four saves in relief in net, while the Blue Devil defense held strong down the stretch despite the disadvantage.
With the win Riverland moves to (4-2) Overall & (1-0 1st Place) MCAC.
