Three Blue Devil Men's Soccer Players Recognized In MCAC Player of the Week Awards

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly soccer awards for the week of September 8-14. 

Riverland Community College goalkeeper, Callum Campbell, earned the MCAC Men's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week award. Campbell did not give up a goal and had six saves on six shots-on-goal in his 90 minutes of playing time en route to shutting out conference opponent Anoka-Ramsey.  Nelson Powell, defender for Riverland Community College, earned the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award after scoring one goal in his team's 3-0 victory. Powell took two shots and anchored a defense that held Anoka-Ramsey scoreless. Josh Jones, midfielder for Riverland Community College, earned the Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award, scoring two goals in his four shots on goal and leading an offensive effort that captured the Blue Devils' first conference win of the season.
