Riverland Falls On The Road To Anoka Ramsey

Riverland Community College fell on the road Wednesday night, dropping a conference matchup at Anoka-Ramsey Community College by a final score of 109-29 in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

The host team jumped out early, building a 29-7 lead after the first quarter and extending the advantage throughout the night. Riverland battled defensively but struggled to find consistent offensive rhythm against heavy pressure, finishing the game shooting 30 percent from the field.

Alexis Jones (Albert Lea, MN) led Riverland offensively with 13 points. Freshman guard Najima Hassan (Mankato West) added eight points and two steals. Sophomore guard Erin Boorsma (ALbert Lea, MN) provided an efficient effort off the floor, going 2-for-2 from the field. Freshman guard Lexi Lewis (Austin, MN) contributed four rebounds and three assists, and freshman forward Kyana Hutchinson (Seward, AK) added three rebounds.

 

Riverland will look to regroup Saturday as they take on St. Cloud at home.
