Riverland Community College Women's Volleyball fell in straight sets to Ellsworth Community College on Tuesday evening on the road (12–25, 12–25, 18–25).
The Blue Devils tallied 18 kills as a team but were hindered by 20 attack errors, hitting -.023 for the match. Meanwhile, Ellsworth was efficient at the net, recording 38 kills and hitting an impressive .380 overall.
Freshman Brienna Brewer (Rapid City, SD) led Riverland with 7 kills, adding 1 ace and 8 digs for an all-around effort. Kyana Hutchinson (Seward, AK) contributed 4 kills, while setter Macey Johnson (Chandler, AZ) dished out 14 assists and chipped in 2 kills and 4 digs.
Defensively, Ellasyn Carrier (Houston, MN) and Isis Walters (Faribault, MN) anchored the back row, collecting 10 and 11 digs, respectively. Brea Belting (Owatonna, MN) added 3 service aces to pace the team from the line.
Riverland looks to bounce back Saturday afternoon on the road at Dakota County.
