Riverland Falls To Anoka Ramsey On The Road 3-0

Riverland Community College Women's Volleyball fell in straight sets to Anoka Ramsey on Friday night on the road (14–25, 28–30, 17–25). Riverland looks to bounce back Saturday on the road at St. Cloud.

After a tough opening set, the Blue Devils responded with a strong second-set performance, pushing the Golden Rams to extra points before dropping a close 28-30 decision. Despite stretches of efficient offense, Riverland couldn't sustain momentum as Anoka-Ramsey closed out the match in the third.

Offensively, freshman Brienna Brewer (Rapid City, SD) led the charge with 17 kills on .271 hitting, adding a service ace and 18 total points. Setter Macey Johnson (Chandler, AZ) directed the attack with 20 assists, contributing 4 kills, 2 aces, and 11 digs for an all-around effort.

Ellasyn Carrier (Houston, MN) added 2 kills, an ace, and 11 digs, while Brea Belting (Owatonna, MN) chipped in 2 kills and an ace. Defensively, Riverland tallied 56 digs as a team, led by Brewer and Johnson, while Brenna Grade (Wausau, WI) posted 3 total blocks.

Riverland hit .110 as a team for the match, showing steady improvement in set two before ultimately falling short.
