Riverland Picks Up Huge Win Over Sisseton Wahpeton

The Riverland Community College volleyball team showcased a balanced offensive attack and strong defensive effort in a five-set battle, earning a hard-fought victory over Sisseton Wahpeton (18–25, 25–16, 23-25, 25-20, 15-11).

Sophomore Brienna Brewer (Rapid City, SD) powered the offense with 17 kills and a .232 hitting percentage, while setter Macey Johnson (Chandler, AZ) orchestrated the attack with an impressive 40 assists and added 6 service aces. Brea Belting (Owatonna, MN) and Ashlyn McRoberts (Big Lake, AK) each chipped in 7 and 6 kills, respectively, helping keep the Blue Devils' offense consistent throughout the match.

Defensively, Ellasyn Carrier (Houston, MN) anchored the back row with 22 digs, and Brenna Grade (Wausau, WI) contributed on the block with a solo block and one block assist. The Blue Devils were sharp from the service line, totaling 13 aces while limiting errors to just 12.

As a team, Riverland hit .162 on 51 kills, showing efficiency and resilience in key moments to secure the win. Riverland looks to keep the momentum going into Friday on the road against Minnesota State Fergus Falls.
