Riverland Rolls Past Luther 77-47

Riverland Community College Men's Basketball picked up a 77–47 win over Luther College on Monday night, improving their early-season momentum with a balanced offensive effort and tough defense.

The Blue Devils controlled the game from the start, building a 36–23 halftime lead before outscoring Luther 41–24 in the second half. Riverland's defensive pressure forced 26 turnovers and translated those into fast-break opportunities throughout the night.

Sophmore forward Tristan Coleman (Maywood, IL) led Riverland with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals & 4 assists. Sophomore forward Joe Poyser (Wildwood, FL) also added 12 points on an efficient 5-for-6 shooting from the field. Freshman guard Camden Fearon (Margate, FL) added an offensive spark off the bench with 11 points. Sophomore guard Lubab Kambalo (Sioux Falls, SD) chipped in 10 points. Sophomore guard Tyson Helms (Tucson, AZ) filled the stat sheet with 9 points, 7 steals, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Riverland shot 46.4% from the field and tallied 23 assists on 32 made baskets. Defensively, they held Luther to just 39.1% shooting and 27.8% from beyond the arc.
