Riverland's Eleven Game Win Streak Snapped In Double-Overtime Thriller 105-103

Riverland Community College suffered their first loss of the season to Central Lakes College Saturday afternoon. Riverland came up just short in a 105–103 double-overtime thriller at home.

The game was tight from the opening tip, with Central Lakes carrying a slim 48–46 edge into halftime. Riverland answered with a strong second half, outscoring the Raiders 42–40 to force overtime deadlocked at 88. Both teams traded baskets in the first extra period, and were once again knotted at 93, before Central Lakes pulled away late in the second overtime to escape with the win.

Sophomore forward Tristan Coleman (Maywood, IL) posted a dominant double-double netting a team high 20 points & snatching a game-high 20 rebounds (12 Offensive) before fouling out. Sophomore guard Tyson Helms (Tucson, AZ) was a stat sheet stuffer scoring 20 points, dished out 8 assists, & 7 rebounds before fouling out. Freshman guard Cam Fearon (Margate, FL) 18 points. Freshman guard Isaiah Lindor (Miami, FL) 17 points. Freshman center Elhadji Thiam (Dakar, Senegal) notched a double-double with 14 points & 17 rebounds (10 Offensive). 

Riverland finished with a 57–40 rebounding edge in the highly competitive game. 

#3 Devils move to 11-1 on the season with the loss.
