Riverland Community College turned in a dominant all-around performance Tuesday night, rolling past Waldorf University 101–61.
The Blue Devils set the tone early, building a 43–23 halftime advantage behind efficient shooting and steady defensive pressure. Riverland continued to control the game after the break, outscoring Waldorf 58–38 in the second half to pull away for the 40-point victory.
Riverland shot 56.8 percent from the field (42-of-74) and finished with a 34–24 edge on the glass. The Blue Devils also limited Waldorf to just four assists while forcing 10 turnovers.
Sophomore guard O'Marion Miller (Minneapolis, MN) poured in a team-high 15 points (7-11 FG). Sophomore forward Tristan Coleman (Maywood, IL) 15 points (6-9 FG). Freshman guard Cam Fearon (Margate, FL) 14 points. Freshman center Elhadji Thiam (Dakar, Senegal) 12 points (6-7 FG) & 8 rebounds. Sophomore guard Lubab Kambalo (Sioux Falls, SD) 11 points (5-8 FG). Sophomore guard Tyson Helms (Tucson, AZ) 11 points. Freshman guard Jet Walis (Miami, FL) 8 points.
Riverland's depth was on full display, as the bench combined for 49 points, helping maintain tempo throughout the night.
