Riverland Picks Up Crucial Conference Road Win 73-68 Over Rochester

Riverland Community College picked up a crucial conference road win with a 73–68 win over Rochester CTC Wednesday night. 

The Blue Devils led 33–30 at halftime and held off a late push by the Yellowjackets in the second half. Rochester shot an impressive 55.4% from the field, but Riverland's balanced scoring, rebounding edge, and ability to get to the free-throw line proved to be the difference.

Sophomore guard Tyson Helms (Tucson, AZ) & Freshman guard Isaiah Lindor (Miami, FL) poured in a game-high 16 points a piece. Helms was a stat-sheet stuffer adding 5 rebounds, 5 assists & 3 steals. Sophomore forward Tristan Coleman (Maywood, IL) 13 points and 8 rebounds. Freshman guard Cam Fearon (Margate, FL) 12 points (4-5 FG). Sophomore forward Joe Poyser (Wildwood, FL) 7 points & 9 rebounds. Freshman guard De'Vaun Suggs-Dabney 6 points & 5 rebounds. 

Riverland won the rebounding battle 31–26, including 12 offensive boards, creating extra possessions throughout the night. The Blue Devils also hit 13 free throws in the win. 

#3 Devils improve to 16-1 (1-0 MCAC South) on the season with the win.
