Riverland Falls On The Road To Ridgewater

Riverland Community College dropped their final regular season game on Sunday afternoon, falling to Ridgewater College 91-73 on the road.

Riverland  trailed 40-30 at halftime and was unable to contain Ridgewater's offensive efficiency in the second half. 

The Warriors finished with a 34-30 rebounding edge and dished out 18 assists on 36 made field goals.

The Blue Devils made a push early in the second half, cutting the deficit to single digits, but Ridgewater responded with timely scoring runs to extend the lead. The home team poured in 51 second-half points to seal the victory.

Sophomore forward Tristan Coleman (Maywood, IL) pored in a team-high 18 points & snatched 7 rebounds. Freshman guard De'Vaun Suggs-Dabney (St. Paul, MN) 14 points & 5 steals. Sophomore guard Tyson Helms (Tucson, AZ) added 13 points & 4 rebounds. Sophomore guard Romelle Bell  (Chicago, IL) chipped in 11 points.

Riverland shot 45.2% from the field but struggled from beyond the arc (6-of-22, 27.3%) and at the free throw line (11-of-19, 57.9%). The Devils committed 14 turnovers in the loss.

#2 Devils move to 26-2 (11-1 MCAC South) on the season with the loss.
